2012 Berri Open Champion: Ricky Emery

Ricky Emery defeated Mark Stone by 4 frames to 1 to be the 25th Winner of this prestigious event. An appreciative audience of over 190 spectators witnessed the final. Both finalists live in Adelaide.

Organizers are expecting to receive over 350 entries for the 2012 Berri Resort Hotel Open 8-Ball Singles Championships to be held on Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd July 2012.

As part of the 25th Anniversary celebration, a special presentation of Previous Winners will be held at 10.00pm on Saturday 21st July 2012 in the Cocos Room of the Berri Resort Hotel.   Organizers are expecting up to 16 previous winners to attend.

Players will be competing for an increased Prize-money of $16,000, with the Winner to receive $4,500 and the Runner-up $1,700.

Entries have already been received from as far away as Perth, Townsville and Melbourne.

The Berri Resort Hotel Open 8-Ball Singles Championships is rated as the largest and best Open 8-Ball Singles Tournament in Australia.

This is the 25^th Anniversary of this event, so we are hoping to attract as many players as possible who have previously played in this event.  We also invite any new players to this event as well.

For those players who did not pick up an entry form and nominate for the 2012 Berri Open at this year’s Berri Open, attached is a Poster and Entry form for next year’s event.

The Berri Open is scheduled for Saturday 21^st & Sunday 22^nd July 2012.

Next year is the 25^th Anniversary of this event, so we would like to see as many players as possible who have played in this tournament in the past, as well as any first time players to help us celebrate the 25^th Anniversary of this Tournament, which is rated by many players as the best Open Singles Tournament in Australia.

As part of the 25^th Anniversary Celebrations, Mr. Shane Roberts who is the General Manager of the Berri Resort Hotel has announced that the winner of the 2012 Berri Resort Hotel Open 8 Ball Singles Championships will receive an additional $1,000 in prize-money.  This will mean that the Winner will collect $4,500 in prize-money and the total prize-money for the 2012 event will be $16,000.
